Meijer will NO LONGER be doubling coupons!

It's a sad, sad thing to hear when we find out that a Grocery store is no longer doubling coupons :( Already this year 5 regions for the Kroger district have stopped doubling coupons and now, as of August 25, 2013 Meijer stores will no longer be doubling coupons! This is what Meijer had to say on their Facebook page earlier today:
"Meijer It's true that we no longer double coupons, effective August 25. We are shifting our resources to mPerks digital coupons. Less than five percent of Meijer customer used double coupons, but nearly 1.5 million have signed up for mPerks, with as many as 25,000 joining each week. We are also expanding mPerks to include rewards for our pharmacy. Signing up is easy at: http://bit.ly/TPxSx0. Of course, in addition to mPerks, we will still accept coupons at face value, and still offer our everyday low prices and weekly specials."

But no worries fellow couponers!! I will still post deals, and with coupons included! The only difference you will see is that the "FINAL COST" will not reflect a doubled coupon price!

Thanks for the FYI Jen! :)
